It is reported that the Military Council carried out airstrikes repeatedly more than 16 times in the morning of June 11 on Pauktaw township in Arakan, and at least 10 local civilians were injured.
The terrorist military council bombarded Ward no. 1 of Pauktaw town by the Chinese-made Y-12 cargo attacking helicopter at around 10:00 am, and at Thawin Chaung Village in Pauktaw township at around 9:30 am.
It is known that 6 women and 4 men were hit by the bombs and seriously injured.
On June 11, 2024, during the aerial attack the following civilians were wounded;
(1) U Nyi Nyi Aung (37) and U Ne Win (38) from Ward No (1), Pauktaw town.
(2) Daw Hnin Chay (38) Daw Aye Hnin Sein (53) and U Aung Kyaw Soe (45) from Thawin Chaung Village, Pauktaw Township.
(3) Ma Cheyin Than (16) Daw Nu Aye (30) Daw Za Nee May (50) Daw U May Than (57) and U Hla Maung Than (28) from Leppan Pya village.
The spokesperson of the Arakan Army (AA) U Khaing Thu Kha said at the 9th press conference on June 8, that the school would not be able to open for the current academic year due to the Military council’s continuous bombing attacks on those townships which have already been under the AA control.
In Arakan, the military council is committing acts of human rights violations and war crimes, as well as openly violating international humanitarian law and military-restricted laws.
On June 9, the military council bombed Kai Gree Mro village in Maungdaw township with a jet fighter, injuring a principal monk of a monastery and 2 children, killing a cow, killing a woman from Minbra town, and destroying religious buildings.
On June 4, several air raids were carried out on Sin Khoung Village in Thandwe Township, causing about 100 civilian deaths and many injuries.
In addition, at 10:20 a.m. on June 1st, the military council attacked Yotaroute village in Ponnagyun Township, killed one ten-year-old child, and one woman, and injured more than 3 civilians.
It was found that during this June, the military council was cowardly carrying out its airstrike on Maungdaw, Minbra, Ponnagyun, Ann, and Thandwe nakedly targeting the civilian residential areas.
