After the Myanmar military coup in 2021, people became more aware that members of the Myanmar military council had a tradition of molestation between men against will.
Facing losses on all fronts in the battle across Myanmar, the military council’s army has been arresting civilians for various reasons and holding them in imprisonment without trial and committing rape against women, as well as molestation of men and using this tactic as a weapon of war.
U Tun Tun Oo (35) and Ko Saw Naing Tun (28) were arrested as a human shield during the battle to seize the city of Mrauk Oo. The soldiers of the Myanmar military council killed them after being sexually assaulted.
Their dead bodies were left tying up hands from the back at the state of the red color underwear stripped off half of one body and his anus was stained with blood.

The soldiers came and said to Ko Ye Mon, “Min Thu ko lote ya meh in Burmese.” which means “You must fuck her” When Ko Ye Mon refused, the soldiers brutally sexually assaulted (molestation) him as retaliation.
Later, Ko Ye Mon wrote an article in the Frontier newspaper about his severe trauma and the cause of receiving medical treatment.
“When we were young, when the soldiers came back from the front line, especially from Karen and Kachin, They brought Dish internet (slinging machines), Gold, silver, clothes, and other attractive valuable things. We did not know as we were young. We just thought that if an army or I went to the front, I would get stuff like that.” Than Kyaw, a social activist said.
“It’s the return of the heist from the front line in the name of a battlefield. They returned after committing murder and rape is the reality.” Than Kyaw added.
After the military coup, the military council faced a shortage of soldier resources; Having to stay in the front of the battle for a long time without minimum rest; led them to indulge in consuming drugs, drunken and misusing power by the influence of intoxication made the Min Aung Hlaing led Tatmadaw enemy to the people.
Hallucinations as a side effect; being frustrated soldiers of the Myanmar military council are committing abhorrent homo sexual assault against the people of entire Myanmar besides violence against women and children.
It will only be possible to eradicate the military council led by Min Aung Hlaing to prevent the homo sexually molestation and rape committed by the Military council would end if the Tatmadaw is eradicated from the map of Myanmar.
