When we found that the army (military council) was marching toward the village, all the villagers ran away for a safer place. But, the grandfather and grandson who could not even walk were left there. We were fighting so that we could not return to the village. This morning, I went in and found them dead,” he said.

In addition, a young monk remained with the principal monk of the Buddhist monastery in the village that day, and  2 of them were also still missing without any trace, the villagers said to AB News that the military council might have arrested them.

On that day, the principal monk and his young novice stayed in the monastery without fleeing away. We could not find them and they had gone missing without leaving any traces. I think the army has picked them up” he added.
