Tatmadaw continues committing crimes against humanity by mass killing general civilians more than 40 in Sittwe, Arakan

More than 40 innocent civilians were mass-killed, and all the dead bodies were disappeared deliberately by the Terrorist Military Council in jointly with the Arakan Liberation Party ( ALP) in Sittwe, Arakan state. 

A solid and confirmed news that the Tatmadaw (Military Council) in association with ALP shot to death more than 40 innocent people in a mass shooting at Byaing Pru village, in Sittwe. 

Following are the victims who were killed by the terrorist military council and ALP;

And the names of the rest are still under investigation to be confirmed and the number of victims is not less than 10.   

A reliable source informed AB News that on 31 May 2024, in the morning at around 11 O’clock, dead bodies were laid down in line on the ground and burnt to ashes to disappear the evidence. It is learned that on 30 May 2024, in the afternoon 3 women were forcibly taken by a military car and gang raped among them 2 women were shot dead and one survivor is still missing with no trace. 

On 29 May 2024, at around noon 5 military vehicles and 2 ALP vehicles, an estimated total strength of soldiers was100 entered the Byaing Pru village, the afternoon at around 3 O’clock about Two hundred men, all aged over 15 years old in the village, were detained and taken them to near a pond situated at the East of the Village, where the soldiers blindfolded all the men and tied their hand from back.

Then the soldiers started to kick, punch, and beat with rifle butts mercilessly. And then all the wounded detainees were kept kneeling on the ground with blindfolds and tying up their hands from the back. Besides, it is also learned that children and wives of the detainees were kept under scarce heat for a long time without feeding anything.

On 30 May 2024,  the military separated more than 40 individuals from the group and shot them dead. The shooting started at midnight and lasted until 4 am. Then the rest of the people were taken to the Military Battalion KHA LA WA 20.

On 31 May 2024 at around 11 am, children and women from the village were taken to the open ground of Phara Gree monastery by 10 military trucks.
