AB News – April 5, 2024

The military council dropped 4 bombs weighing 200 pounds each in the vicinity of Keissappanaddi Bridge, Kyauktaw, Arakan, killing a young man aged 18 on the spot and injuring 6 others, including a 6-year-old child. The deceased was 18-year-old Maung Ye Win Naing from Myothit Ward, Kyauktaw.

The terrorist military council carried out the bombing at 2:45 p.m. on April 4th, dropping 4 bombs. The attack was conducted with a fighter jet, a resident of Kyauktaw told the AB News.

The injured include a 6-year-old girl named Moe Ei San from the Kangyishin IDP camp in Kyauktaw, a 14-year-old girl named Khwar Nyo Lin from Pyidawtha ward, a 15-year-old girl named Than Myint Soe from Pite Thay ward, a 37-year-old woman named Nini Than, a 43-year-old woman named Daw Kyi Win, and a 64-year-old man named U Htun Saw Hla. Among the injured were one child, two females under the age of 18, and three adults, with U Htun Saw Hla sustaining a severe injury to his left face.

Additionally, it was learned that at 2:54 pm, the terrorist military council continued to bomb Kyar Nyo Inn village, causing no reported damage or casualties.

The injured are currently receiving emergency medical treatment at nearby clinics.

In a separate attack on March 5th, at around 12:05 pm, a fighter jet from the Magway dropped two 500-pound bombs near Kyauktaw, resulting in minor injuries to one man and damage to the electric power plant.

Kyauktaw is one of the regions that the Arakan Army has already seized and is clear of the junta forces.

Currently, the Terrorist Tatmataw’s daily bombings in the areas controlled by the Arakan Army are leading to an increase in civilian casualties and injuries.”
