SAC’s aerial attack kills a teenager and injures two others

Residents of Ramree, Rakhine, confirmed that a teenager, aged 13, was killed and 2 others were injured when SAC bombed the town with 2 fighter jets at 11:30 a.m. today, March 30. The teenager killed was Maung Phyo Ko, aged 13, from Phakyet Village, Ramree and Daw Khin San Yee, 37, and U Bo Khaing, 56, were seriously injured.

“At 11:30 a.m. today, the military council dropped two bombs, and they exploded in the village of Phakyet. One was instantly killed. He was just a boy. Two others were injured,” a villager said.

The military council bombed No. 4 Kinte Ward in the town of Ramree, Chaungnwe and Lapan villages, it was reported. “At around 11:00 a.m. today, the military council bombed 4 different places in the town of Ramree. They bombed the town with two fighter jets. There were people killed and injured in Phakyet Village. Houses were destroyed. The whole town of Ramree had been destroyed by the military council’s bombardment” a resident said.

Because of the continuous bombardment by the military council, the residents of the town are unable to return to their homes but continue to evade the war in other places.

On the 11th of this month at 1.15 p.m., Arakan Army announced in their statement that they had successfully cleared all of the remaining members of the military council in the town of Ramree which had become yet another town in Rakhine completely captured by the Arakan Army.

In the same town in an earlier incident on the 12th of this month at around 11:00 p.m., one civilian was killed and two others were seriously injured because of the naval bombardment.
