AB News reporters witnessed that the Arakan Army continued to evacuate more than 4,000 Muslims from Shwezar cluster villages located near Maungdaw township ensuring safety and security for the civilians, due to continuous aerial strikes carried out by the Military Council. 

On the morning of June 26, more than 4,000 Muslims from the Shwezar cluster villages near Maungdaw were moved to a safe place which is under the control of the Arakan Army.

In Maungdaw, the last remnants of the armies of the military council of Border Guard Division (5) launched artillery shells on the village beside the Air Force continuously carried out airstrikes which drove the villagers to flee their homes. 

The AB News reporters have personally experienced that while people in groups were fleeing their homes, the military council bombarded them from the air and shelling artillery from its military base. 

The people roughly more than 4000 who were evacuated were relocated in separate Muslim villages namely Pyin Phyu (Old Village), Mingla Gree, Kyauk Hlaygar, and Akyar Villages, and AA arranged emergency food supplies for them were found by the reporters. 

In addition, villagers who were stuck in the villages namely Zula, Guna, Italiya, and Zantula villages located near Maungdaw town who were used as human shields by the military council were also rescued by the Arakan Army and immediately moved by providing army escort to a safer place on 25 June. 

It is found that more than 200,000 displaced Muslim community temporary homes in the places under Arakan Army control in Buthidaung and Maungdaw townships need support for their livelihood and health care.
